The MSF30322 Certificate III in Cabinet Making and Timber Technology is delivered by Daffodil College over 104 weeks, combining classroom-based instruction at the Sydney CBD campus with hands-on practical training at the college's workshop facility in Revesby. The qualification equips students with trade-level skills in cabinet making, joinery and timber technology, preparing them to work confidently and safely across the cabinetry, joinery and timber manufacturing sectors. Students learn to use hand and power tools safely and efficiently for cabinet making tasks, develop accurate measuring and drawing skills including computer-aided (CAD) design, and build the ability to read and interpret detailed plans and technical drawings. The course also develops effective teamwork and communication skills for working on construction sites and in production teams, along with environmentally sustainable work practices aligned to industry standards. The program comprises 25 units of competency — 8 core units and 17 elective units — covering furniture-making tools and materials, production drawings, cabinetry fabrication and installation, kitchen and bathroom project planning, and CNC machining and processing. Training is delivered in a blended format on a full-time basis, with access to simulated work environments that reflect real workplace conditions.
