Common Questions
The tuition fees for the course are $22,000.00, which includes Material and Application Fees ($200 Application Fee and $1,800 Material Fees).
The program is 59 weeks full time, including holidays, and is delivered at Level 1, 11-13 Aird St, Parramatta NSW 2150.
Students must have successfully completed Year 11 or equivalent (AQF Level III & IV), completed a Determining Suitability Assessment, be 18 years of age or above, and for international students, have a minimum English level of IELTS 6.0 or equivalent or pass an Actors College Placement Test. There are no academic pre-requisites for this qualification.
The assessment process includes the gathering of evidence to demonstrate the student's competence. Students are assessed using written assessment and direct observation of practical demonstration.
After achieving the MSF30322 Certificate III in Cabinet Making and Timber Technology, candidates may choose to undertake MSF40222 Certificate IV in Furniture Design and Manufacturing or other relevant qualifications at other RTOs. Possible job titles include Cabinet Maker (Furniture), Furniture Finisher, Furniture Finisher (French Polishing), Furniture Maker, Joiner, and Assistant installer (built-in cabinets for kitchens/bathrooms).
