Common Questions
The course runs for 96 weeks, including 26 weeks of scheduled breaks, with 20 scheduled course contact hours each week.
Applicants must achieve an IELTS Test Score of 6.0 or equivalent (test results must be no more than 2 years old). Applicants with an IELTS score less than 6.0 need to package their enrolment with the required amount of English ELICOS study. Alternatively, applicants may be exempt if they have completed at least 5 years of study in English in countries such as Australia, the UK, the USA, Canada, New Zealand, South Africa, or the Republic of Ireland, or if they have successfully passed the Ruby Institute English Placement Test or completed General English at Advanced level.
Graduates of the MSF30322 Certificate III in Cabinet Making and Timber Technology may pursue roles as a Cabinetmaker (Commercial), Cabinetmaker (Residential), Furniture Maker, Joiner – Custom or Shopfitting, or Timber Fabricator.
After completing the Certificate III in Cabinet Making and Timber Technology, students can progress to the CPC40120 Certificate IV in Building and Construction (Building) or the CPC50220 Diploma of Building and Construction (Building). Ruby Institute also offers a packaged pathway combining the Certificate III with the Diploma of Building and Construction (Building) over 3 years.
