To achieve this qualification, the candidate must demonstrate competency in 34 units of competency, including 27 core units and 7 elective units.
Applicants must have an IELTS band score of overall 6 (Academic or General) or equivalent in line with the Department of Education and the Department of Home Affairs (DOHA) regulations. Learners are also required to be competent in written and spoken English and will undertake a Language, Literacy and Numeracy test prior to commencing the training.
The Certificate III in Carpentry is delivered at two campus locations: 235 Ingles Street, Port Melbourne, VIC and Level 8, 86 Collins Street, Hobart 7000.
After successfully completing the CPC30220 Certificate III in Carpentry, students can progress to the CPC40120 Certificate IV in Building and Construction, the CPC50220 Diploma of Building and Construction (Building), and the CPC60220 Advanced Diploma of Building and Construction (Management).
Assessment methods for this qualification include written questions, projects, observations, presentations, case studies, reports, practical activities and work placement (if applicable — applies to applicants with prior experience in the field).
