Prepare to work safely in the construction industry
White Card — industry required competency for working safely in the construction industry
Common Questions
You will learn core carpentry skills including construction of floors, walls, ceilings and roofing as well as internal joinery, installation of windows, doors, and cladding. You will also gain industry required competencies such as working safely at heights, and planning and organising work.
The course runs for eight terms over 104 weeks, which is equivalent to two years.
Applicants must provide evidence of English proficiency at IELTS 6.0, PTE 50, or Duolingo 105, or alternatively pass the Site Institute English/LLN Test (CSPA) with a score of 100 or above.
The 2026 intake dates are January 27, April 20, July 13, and October 6.
Students have an engaging learning environment including workshops, practical activities and the most up-to-date tools and equipment, with facilities at the Coopers Plains Workshop including outdoor facilities and an equipment workshop. The institution provides students with all the supplies they need.
