Common Questions
A total of 34 units (27 core and 7 electives) must be completed and deemed competent to achieve the qualification CPC30220 Certificate III in Carpentry. Participants who achieve competency in any unit/s will receive a Statement of Attainment (provided USI is verified) for that unit/s without completing all 34 units in the qualification.
International students must have demonstrated an IELTS level at a score of at least 6 or equivalent (test results must be no more than 2 years old), or demonstrate successful completion of at least General English at Upper Intermediate or English for Academic Purposes Upper Intermediate level.
Yes, it is compulsory that students must have successfully completed 'CPCCWHS1001 Prepare to work safely in the construction industry' prior to commencing this course. Additionally, all students are required to complete an LLN Test on the orientation day to assist Britts College in identifying any needs for additional support during their studies.
After completing the CPC30220 Certificate III in Carpentry, students can pursue further study including CPC40120 Certificate IV in Building and Construction (Building), CPC50220 Diploma of Building and Construction (Building), or a range of Certificate IV or Diploma level qualifications within the CPC Training Package.
Assessment methods generally include practical observation of tasks, written or oral questioning, case studies, role plays, reports, research projects, presentations, etc. Learning methods may include presentations and discussions, demonstrations, individual and group activities, skills practice, role plays, case studies, simulated scenarios, and research activities.
