Common Questions
The course runs for 104 weeks in total, which includes 80 weeks of study and 24 weeks of holidays. Duration may vary if the student has applied for advanced standing and been granted credit transfer (CT).
Tuition fees are A$24,000 for both international and domestic students. Additional fees include a Resource fee of A$2,000, a Material fee of A$350, and a non-refundable Enrolment Fee of A$250 payable at the time of enrolment. International students are also required to hold Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC) for the duration of their student visa. Please note that tuition fees are reviewed annually and are not fixed for the duration of enrolment.
Assessment methods include written assessments, verbal assessments, presentations, role plays/observations, and practical demonstrations. The majority of assessment tasks must be completed using a computer and reliable internet access.
International students must demonstrate English language proficiency through one of the following: IELTS (Academic) minimum 6.0 with no band less than 5.5; Pearson Test of English (Academic) minimum 42 with no score less than 36; Cambridge English: Advanced (CAE) minimum 169; or General English Advanced or equivalent. The test must have been completed within two (2) years prior to the student's enrolment application date. Exemptions apply for citizens of the UK, USA, Canada, New Zealand, or Ireland, and for those who have completed certain Australian studies.
Graduates of the CPC30220 Certificate III in Carpentry can pursue careers as a Commercial Carpenter, Formwork Carpenter, or Residential Carpenter. After successfully completing the qualification, students can also further progress to a Certificate IV, Diploma, or Advanced Diploma within the construction industry.
