The total course fees are AU$30,500, which comprises tuition fees of AU$25,000 and non-tuition fees of AU$5,500.
International students require a minimum IELTS score of 6.0 or equivalent for direct entry, or an IELTS score of 5.5 with an ELICOS course (up to 10 weeks), or an IELTS score of 5.0 with an ELICOS course (up to 20 weeks). An Oxford Placement Test score of 61 or higher is also accepted. Results older than two years are not acceptable.
All assessments of units of competency will be conducted according to the assessment guidelines and competency standards of the official Training Package for this qualification. Assessment methods will include knowledge questions/written test, practical demonstration, and projects in the carpentry workshop.
Students are required to have a PPE kit prior to undertaking practical training, which includes safety shoes (steel toe), protective glasses, a safety vest (neon/glowing), protective gloves, earmuffs, a working uniform mask, and a hard hat. This kit can be purchased from the institute or from any supplier outside.
Yes, IIT recognises qualifications and statements of attainment issued by other Registered Training Organisations in Australia and offers all students the option of Recognised Prior Learning and Credit Transfer.
