Certificate III in Carpentry

The Certificate III in Carpentry (CPC30220) is a trade qualification covering work in residential and commercial carpentry, including setting out, manufacturing, constructing, assembling, installing and repairing products made from timber and non-timber materials. Related occupational titles include Carpenter, Carpenter and Joiner, Carpenter – Commercial, Carpenter – Formwork and Carpenter – Residential. The course is delivered in the classroom, through scheduled supervised online learning, and in a workshop, at The Wales Institute's Perth and Melbourne campuses. It runs over 52 weeks — 40 weeks of training and assessment across four 10-week terms plus 12 weeks of holidays — requiring 14 hours of classroom/workshop training and 6 hours of supervised online learning per week, plus roughly 5 hours of unsupervised study. Completion of the general construction induction training (CPCWHS1001) is required for all construction work.
