The Certificate III in Carpentry (CPC30220) has a duration of 104 weeks including holidays.
International students must demonstrate English proficiency through one of the following: an IELTS level of 5.5 or above with no band under 5.0, TOEFL 62 (internet-based), Pearson Test of English Academic (PTE) 46, Cambridge English Advanced (CAE) score of 162, or an OET score of C for each test component.
The course is comprised of a total of 34 units of competency, comprising 27 core units and 7 elective units, covering areas such as setting out, installing flooring systems, constructing wall frames, erecting roof trusses, installing windows and doors, working safely at heights, and more.
After achieving the Certificate III in Carpentry, students will benefit from progressing to the CPC40120 Certificate IV in Building and Construction or the CPC50220 Diploma of Building and Construction (Building).
Yes, all students enrolled in this qualification must undertake practical exercises and laboratory work, and are required to hold a National Criminal Police Check and a First Aid Course certificate before commencing lab work.
