Alternatively, proficiency can be demonstrated through completion of a recognised ELICOS program, at least two years of study in Australia at AQF Level 4 or higher, minimum five years of study in English in an approved English-speaking country, or completion of Year 12 in English. Applicants without documented evidence may complete an online LLND assessment to meet entry requirements.
The further study pathways available to students who complete this qualification include the CPC40120 Certificate IV in Building and Construction, the CPC50220 Diploma of Building and Construction (Building), or related diploma-level qualifications in building and construction.
Based on the 2026 onshore indicative fees for international students, the Certificate III in Carpentry (CPC30220) has an indicative tuition fee of $18,000.00, a material fee (including e-books) of $1,250.00. All fees are quoted in AUD, are indicative only, and subject to change without notice. Fees do not include OSHC, accommodation, living expenses or other personal costs.
Yes. AIA's code of practice states that all candidates for assessment will be offered RPL upon enrolment. RPL is an assessment process that assesses an individual's non-formal and informal learning to determine the extent to which that individual has achieved the required learning outcomes. Credit Transfer is also available — if a certificate or statement of results is produced and verified, a credit transfer process will be initiated by AIA in relation to the units as per the training plan. Both RPL and CT may affect the overall duration of the course.

Honestly I was lost when I first started looking at Australian colleges. There are just too many options and every agent gives you different info. A friend told me about FindTheCourses and within a week I had shortlisted 3 programs that actually matched my budget and visa situation. My advisor Sanjay was super helpful — never felt like I was being pushed into anything.
