The tuition fee for the Certificate III in Carpentry is $31,000, with a one-time non-refundable application fee of $350 and textbook and material fees of $2,100, which include a cap, long sleeve workshop shirt, safety glasses, earplugs, and hand gloves. Students must also arrange their own safety shoes and Overseas Health Cover (approximately $550 per annum for a single cover).
The course duration is 24 months (including term breaks), which equates to 52 weeks as listed under the course info.
Students are required to have an IELTS score of 5.5 (test results must be no more than 2 years old). English language competence can also be demonstrated through documented evidence of being educated for 5 years in an English-speaking country, completing at least 6 months of a Certificate IV level course in an Australian RTO, or successful completion of an English Placement Test. Other tests such as PTE and TOEFL can also be accepted if equivalent to IELTS 5.5.
After achieving the CPC30220 Certificate III in Carpentry, graduates may pursue roles such as Carpenter – Commercial, Carpenter – Formwork, or Carpenter – Residential. Graduates may also choose to undertake further studies such as a Certificate IV in Building and Construction (Building) and higher qualifications.
Yes, Aspen College offers both Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) and Credit Transfer (CT). RPL acknowledges skills and knowledge gained through formal or informal training, work experience, and life experience. Credit Transfer provides agreed credit outcomes based on identified equivalence in content and learning outcomes between matched qualifications. Students who do not complete all units may also be eligible for a Statement of Attainment in partial completion of the CPC30220 Certificate III in Carpentry.
