Students enrolled as an apprentice can take up to 4 years (for full-time employees) or 6 years (for part-time employees) to complete their apprenticeship.
This program is delivered at the student's workplace. ACE conducts a minimum of one visit per month, during which the trainer delivers training and/or assessment in accordance with the Training Plan. Students are also entitled to a minimum of three hours per week of structured training, averaged over a four-week cycle.
The following assessment methods will be used: Practical Demonstrations, Written Assessments, Third Party Evidence, and Logbook.
To attain SIT30821 Certificate III in Commercial Cookery, 25 units must be completed by the student: 20 core units and 5 elective units, totalling 945 nominal hours (or 1005 hours as per the PDF brochure).
Government funding is available for this course for eligible students. This training is delivered with the Victorian Government's 2026 Standard VET Funding Contract - Skills First Program.
