The course runs for 63 weeks (including term breaks) and the course fee is AUD 18,500.
The course is delivered at Everest Institute's campuses in Thomastown and Lalor.
International students must have obtained an IELTS band score of 6.0 overall with no sub-score less than 5.0, or an equivalent score such as TOEFL (60), Cambridge English (169), or PTE (51.6). Alternatively, they may have completed at least one year of study/training at Certificate IV level or above in Australia in English medium, or completed a Certificate III or IV in ESL or EAL from the ESL/EAL Framework (VIC), or completed Year 12.
Graduates can work as a Cook in a Restaurant, Café, or Catering Company. This qualification provides a pathway to work as a commercial cook in organisations such as restaurants, hotels, clubs, pubs, cafés, and coffee shops.
After successfully achieving the Certificate III in Commercial Cookery, individuals could progress to SIT40521 Certificate IV in Kitchen Management, SIT50422 Diploma of Hospitality Management, or SIT60322 Advanced Diploma of Hospitality Management.
