To gain the full SIT30821 Certificate III in Commercial Cookery qualification, you must complete 25 units in total — 20 core units and 5 elective units.
Yes, it is a requirement that whilst undertaking this course you have access to a workplace through either paid or unpaid work employment for the duration of one term. This is compulsory and applies against the completion of a unit or Units of Competency that form part of your full qualification.
Domestic students are required to obtain a Cookery Tool Kit, a Cookery Uniform and Boots, and a Food Safety Supervisor Certificate Licence Fee at an estimated cost of $80.00 to complete this course.
Training and assessment for this course includes Practical Demonstrations, Service Periods, Written Assessment, Observation, and Role Play.
Students have access to a range of support services including Academic Support, LLND Assistance, Workplacement Support, Administrative and Career Services, External Referral Support, and online access to a tutor.
