Common Questions
The tuition fee for onshore students is $8,500, while offshore students pay $10,000. There is also a material fee of $1,000 and an enrolment fee of $250.
The course has a duration of 52 weeks.
An IELTS score of 6 or equivalent is required, and all students must sit an Internal English Test to validate current levels. Test results must be no more than 2 years old. Alternatively, English language competence can be demonstrated through education for a minimum of 5 years in an English-speaking country, completion of at least 6 months of a Certificate IV level course at an Australian RTO, or a successful English Placement Test. Other tests such as PTE and TOEFL may be accepted if equivalent to IELTS 6.
This qualification provides a pathway to work as a commercial cook in organisations such as restaurants, hotels, clubs, pubs, cafés, and coffee shops.
This program is delivered in the classroom and through structured self-study. Practical face to face training is provided in a commercial kitchen. A work placement is also required.
