The course duration is 52 weeks (44 study weeks + 8 holiday weeks).
Yes, there is 240 hours of mandatory industry placement required as part of the course.
Students must have demonstrated an IELTS level at a score of at least 6.0 or equivalent (test results must be no more than 2 years old) or demonstration of successful completion of at least General English at Upper Advanced or English for Academic Purposes Upper Advanced level.
Upon completion, graduates can continue their studies into higher-level hospitality qualifications such as: SIT40521 Certificate IV in Kitchen Management, SIT50422 Diploma of Hospitality Management, and other qualifications within the SIT Tourism, Travel, and Hospitality Training Package.
The program is delivered face-to-face (classroom and kitchen-based) at ACTB's Brisbane training locations. All required study resources are provided by ACTB. Students will have access to kitchen facilities, recipe guides, unit workbooks, and digital learning tools. Trainers incorporate practical demonstrations and real-world kitchen practices to ensure strong industry relevance.
