You must complete 19 units (14 compulsory and five electives) to achieve this qualification. The State Government's Free TAFE for Priority Courses initiative covers the cost of tuition (excluding Amenities Fees and Materials Fees) for eligible students. The Certificate III in Construction Waterproofing is delivered on-campus at Melbourne Polytechnic's Epping and Heidelberg campuses. The course runs for 6 months part time, with intakes available in February, March, May, July, and August.
You'll practice core skills for the construction industry, as well as specialised techniques for internal, external, below-ground and remedial waterproofing. The course covers how to prevent water and dampness penetrating building walls using the latest industry technologies, with training in dedicated construction training facilities.
If you are not eligible for Free TAFE, the tuition fee options are: a concession fee of $610, a government subsidised fee of $3,050, or a non-subsidised fee of $12,400. Including the maximum annual amenities fee, total payable amounts are $790 (concession), $3,310 (subsidised), or $12,660 (non-subsidised). The Free TAFE option has a total payable of $260 (amenities only).
