Certificate III in Construction Waterproofing

Academic entry requirements: Be at least 18 years of age and have completed Year 12 or equivalent. Participate in a course entry interview to determine suitability for the course and student needs.

Domestic Students Entry Requirements: Students will need moderate to high levels of English language, literacy and numeracy (LLN). Students will also need to be able to competently operate a computer and know how to use the internet for research purposes. A good command of spoken and written English is required for communicating with the trainer and to achieve course outcomes. A strong command of written English is required for reading resources and completing written assessments.

International Student Entry Requirements: Students must be over 18 years of age. Student visa applicants are required to provide the results of an English language test that are no older than 2 years. We accept test results from the following specified English language tests for student visa purpose taken in any country: The TOEFL Paper-Based Test (TOEFL iBT) International English Language Testing system (IELTS Test) Pearson Test of English (PTE) Academic Cambridge English: Advanced (CAE) test (also known as Certificate in Advanced English) Students are required to reach a minimum level of English: IELTS 6.0 or TOEFL iBT 64 or PTE 50 or CAE 169. English language competence can also be demonstrated through documented evidence of any of the following: Educated for 5 years in an English-speaking country; or Completed at least 6 months of a Certificate IV level course in an Australian RTO; or Successful completion of an English Placement Test

Other Requirements: Students are required to provide their own laptop computer that is compatible with Australian power voltage requirements and is loaded with Microsoft Office 365 software or Open Office 365 (open source). Sound computer skills are required that include using intermediate level Microsoft Word features. Ability to produce and present word-processed documents/ reports and undertake internet research. As part of the learning cycle students may be required to undertake online research or activities each week in class during term time.
