Common Questions
The course fee for international students ranges from $9,975 to $11,140 AUD. Additional costs for uniforms, equipment, textbooks and materials range from $300 to $1,000 AUD per course.
You will gain proficiency in industry-standard programs like Adobe Creative Cloud and Computer Aided Design (CAD), as well as hands-on experience with hand illustration techniques, 2D modelling and construction, working correctly with equipment and materials, working with paints, and producing digital presentations.
After completing the Certificate III in Design Fundamentals, you can continue your studies with options including the Certificate IV in Design (Graphic Design) and the Diploma of Graphic Design at TAFE NSW. You may also gain entry to Australian universities through TAFE NSW's university partnership pathways, which offer guaranteed entry and credit transfer to eligible students.
You are required to complete 7 core units plus 5 elective (specialty) units. Of the 5 elective units, 3 must be from the electives listed for the course, and 2 may be from the remaining listed electives or any currently endorsed training package qualification or accredited course, provided they are relevant to the work environment and the qualification.
TAFE NSW provides a range of support services including the TAFE NSW Disability Support Service, Language, Literacy, and Numeracy (LLN) support, Careers, Counselling, and Pathways Service, Smarthinking (online access to a tutor), and LinkedIn Learning, which offers online courses and tutorials to improve personal and professional skills.
