Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care

Students must have completed the CHC30113 or CHC30121 – Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care, must undergo a working with children police check, and must have a valid blue card before undertaking work placement. Students must also be over 18 years of age.

The classroom-based delivery is 56 weeks full time as a standalone course. A combined Certificate III and Diploma package is also available over 98 weeks.

For the classroom-based Fee for Service option (56 weeks standalone), fees are: Administration Fee $100.00, Resource Fees $300.00, and Tuition Fees $16,000.00. For the 98-week Certificate III + Diploma package: Administration Fee $100.00, Resource Fees $400.00, and Tuition Fees $23,000.00. Funded options are also available with concessional and non-concessional rates.

The classroom-based delivery is offered in Brisbane and Sydney, combining classroom and workplace-based training including 280 hours of vocational placement. An RPL pathway is also available throughout Australia, assessed via written evidence, practical observation, and competency conversations, with duration and fees determined by the quality of evidence submitted.

After successful completion of this qualification, students may have the opportunity to progress into BSB50420 – Diploma of Leadership and Management. Career roles for graduates include Early Years Director, Lead Educator, Coordinator, Centre Manager, Early Years Educator, and Nominated or Certified Supervisor.
