Successful completion of Year 10 (or equivalent)
No ATAR is required
Applicants undertake a Language Literacy Numeracy and Digital (LLND) assessment for the College to determine the level of assistance needed to support the student
Students over the age of 18 years who engage in child-related work must by law hold a valid and current Working with Children Check before attending work placement

How much work placement is required for this course?

Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care students will complement their learning by meeting a minimum of 160 mandatory hours of work placement over the duration of the course. Bedford will collaborate with students and support them to find a suitable work placement location.

What is the fee for the Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care?

The course fee for CHC30121 Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care is $7,490, plus a one-off non-refundable enrolment fee of $150.

Can I continue studying after completing this certificate?

Yes. Some students seeking leadership roles in early education choose to progress their studies by subsequently completing a CHC50121 Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care. Bedford College also has arrangements with high-ranking universities to provide articulation pathways (with credit) towards Bachelor degree programs.

When does the course intake start?

Bedford College offers one commencing intake of study in a year for this course, starting in February.
