Common Questions
To achieve this qualification, the individual must have completed a total of at least 160 hours of work in a regulated children's education and care service in Australia. It is mandatory to complete work placement hours to be eligible for attainment of this qualification.
The Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care is delivered at two campuses: Lead Parramatta (Level 1, 37 George Street) and Lead Cannington (15 Leila Street).
Students must demonstrate an English level of IELTS 6.0 overall with no band less than 5.5, or an equivalent qualification such as IBT 60, PTE 50, CAE 169, OET B, General English Advanced or equivalent, MOI Certificate, Duolingo 95, MET, LANGUAGECERT Academic, CELPIP General, or a Certificate IV or higher qualification with an Australian institution.
Students who complete this course may wish to continue their education into the CHC50125 – Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care.
Assessment methods include direct observation of practical tasks, oral and written questioning, completion of workbooks, simulated workplace activities, interviews, and third-party reports. Specific assessment types include written questions or reports, practical activities or projects, case study analysis, observation, and supervised work placement.
