Common Questions
Students are required to complete 160 hours of mandatory work placement. Students may request Australian Health and Management Institute to organise their work placement, or they may find their own. In the event the student has selected the work placement, AHMI staff undertakes a work place suitability assessment prior to approval.
All students are required to evidence the following documentation prior to undertaking mandatory work placement: a current and satisfactory police check, a Working with Children Check, and a current First Aid Certificate.
International students must achieve an IELTS score of 6.0 (with no bands less than 5.5) or an equivalent Pearson Test of English (PTE) score to be eligible for enrolment.
After successfully achieving CHC30121 Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care, candidates may undertake CHC50121 Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care.
Students that complete some but not all of the units of competency as stated in the Course Structure may be issued with a Statement of Attainment. It will identify only those units of competence that have been completed as part of the qualification and recognised nationally under the AQF.
