Common Questions
The domestic fee for service is $5,000 and the international (student visa) fee is $9,500 for the 30-week course. Additional fees apply: an Enrolment Fee of $250 and a Material Fee of $500.
Students are required to complete 160 hours of industry placement as part of the training and assessment activity. Applicants must be able to make themselves available to undertake this placement, and students should be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 prior to doing so.
Intakes are available approximately every 8 weeks throughout the year. The course is offered at two campuses: the Brisbane Centre Campus at 316 Adelaide Street, Brisbane, and the Gold Coast Centre 2 Campus.
Students must have Upper-Intermediate English, equivalent to 5.5 academic or general IELTS, and must successfully complete the college's LLN Test. Students who are unable to meet the English language criteria may in some cases be eligible to undertake the Language, Literacy & Numeracy (LLN) test.
Graduates of the Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care can pursue roles such as Assistant Educator, Service Educator, and Service Manager. This qualification is also the nationally recognised legal minimum requirement needed to work as a childcare worker in Australia.
