Common Questions
To meet course requirements, students must complete a minimum of 160 hours of mandatory work placement in an approved Australian early childhood education and care setting, as outlined in the assessment requirements of the units of competency.
The fee for domestic students is $2,699, which is payable in instalments.
This course is delivered through a blended learning model, combining online study with structured face-to-face sessions and practical workplace learning. Assessment methods may include written questions, projects, presentations, reports, practical demonstrations, and workplace observations.
Prior to commencing mandatory work placement, students must provide a valid Working with Children Check (WWCC) for the relevant Australian state or territory, a National Police Check (if required by the placement provider), and evidence of up-to-date vaccinations as required by the workplace or state regulations.
After achieving the Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care (CHC30121), students may continue their studies in the CHC50121 Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care.
