About This Course

The Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care (CHC30125) prepares you for a rewarding career working with young children in regulated education and care services across Australia. This qualification reflects the role of early childhood educators who support the wellbeing, learning, and development of children within approved learning frameworks. You will learn to nurture babies and toddlers, encourage play-based learning, support inclusion and diversity, and ensure children's health, safety, and wellbeing. Graduates of this program are ready to work in roles across long day care, family day care, kindergartens, and preschools, either independently or under supervision, making a real impact on the lives of children and families. Training is delivered face-to-face at ACTB's Brisbane campus (100 Brunswick Street, Fortitude Valley).

Requirements

There is no pre-requisites or specific entry requirement for this qualification. This course is available to all international students and ACTB requires that students are able to provide evidence that they: Have demonstrated an IELTS level at score of least 6.0 or equivalent (test results must be no more than 2 years old) or demonstration of successful completion of at least General English at Upper Advanced or English for Academic Purposes Upper Advanced level. Have a suitable level of language, literacy and numeracy to complete course requirements with or without additional support that ACTB is able to provide. Are at least at age of 18 on the date of course commencement. Have successfully completed Australian year 12 or equivalent OR minimum of 2 years of industry experience OR be of mature age with sound literacy and numeracy skills. Student must obtain a valid QLD Blue Card (Working with Children Check) and a AFP National Police Check certificate with no criminal records reported/recorded. These documents are to be obtained by students at their own cost. All the students commencing this course are required to complete LLND to be conducted during the time of admission to assist ACTB to identify student's needs for additional support during their study with ACTB.
