The CHC30125 Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care prepares you for a rewarding career supporting the learning, development and wellbeing of young children in early childhood education and care settings. Through practical training, workplace learning and industry-relevant education, you'll develop the knowledge and skills to plan and implement educational experiences, support children's learning through play, build positive relationships with families, and meet legal and ethical responsibilities. This nationally recognised qualification prepares graduates to work as part of a professional team in regulated early childhood services and provides a pathway to further study in early childhood education.

At Holmesglen, you'll develop practical skills and confidence through a combination of classroom learning, practical placement and real-world experience, learning from experienced teachers with industry expertise. This course combines face-to-face learning, online study and practical placement to provide a balanced learning experience. Learners participate in four days of structured learning each week, including classroom-based training and workplace learning, with classes scheduled from 9.00am to 4.00pm. You'll complete 180 hours of practical placement in a registered education and care service, typically undertaken over two days per week during Terms 2 and 3, allowing you to apply your knowledge in a real early childhood environment while building valuable industry experience.
