Requirements

Minimum age of 18 years or above at the time of course commencement
Successfully completed an Australian Year 10 (or equivalent international secondary school year), OR successful completion of a recognised Foundation Studies program in Australia, OR successful completion of the International Baccalaureate Certificate, OR successful completion of an Australian qualification of AQF level 3
English Language: IELTS Academic or General band 6.0 overall (or equivalent), completed within 2 years of application date. Equivalents include: CELPIP General overall 7, LANGUAGECERT Academic 61, Michigan English Test 53, Occupational English Test 1210, Pearson Test of English Academic 47, TOEFL iBT 67
IELTS 5.5 + 10 weeks of ELICOS, or IELTS 5.0 + 20 weeks of ELICOS are also accepted
English requirements may be waived for: citizens with passports from UK, USA, Canada, New Zealand, or Republic of Ireland; students with 5+ years of study in English in listed countries; students who completed a substantial component (at least 70%) of an AQF level 4+ qualification in Australia within the past 2 years; students who completed the Senior Secondary Certificate of Education in English in Australia within the past 2 years; or students who completed an ELICOS program achieving upper intermediate level within 2 years
Documentation per Department of Home Affairs requirements for international students
Pre-Training Review (initial skills assessment) required prior to enrolment
LLND (Language, Literacy, Numeracy and Digital) evaluation required prior to enrolment
Access to a laptop or computer with Windows operating system and Microsoft Office applications
Physical attributes suitable for working in the health/childcare industry
National Police Check and Working with Children Check (WWCC) required prior to placement
Influenza vaccination required annually by 15 August (mandatory for placement)
COVID-19 vaccination required (mandatory for placement)
Follow all Victorian Department of Health vaccination requirements for healthcare workers prior to placement
