The CRICOS course code is 117018G. The course runs for 52 weeks in total, comprising 40 weeks of delivery plus 12 weeks of term break.
International students must meet the following English language entry requirements: an IELTS score of 6.0 overall with no band less than 5.5, or an equivalent Pearson Test of English (PTE) score.
Students who successfully complete all 29 units of competency and the mandatory 160 hours of work placement will be issued with MEM31925 Certificate III in Engineering - Fabrication Trade, recognised nationally under the AQF. Further training pathways may lead to MEM40119 Certificate IV in Engineering or MEM50119 Diploma of Engineering – Advanced Trade, or other relevant qualifications.
The course is delivered full time in a mixed mode that integrates Face to Face (2 days), Online, and Self Study, totalling 20 hours per week. Self-study is used to revise and reinforce areas of knowledge, and for assessment research and preparation.
Students that complete some but not all of the units of competency as stated in the Course Structure may be issued with a Statement of Attainment. It will identify only those units of competence that have been completed as part of the qualification and are recognised nationally under the AQF.
