Common Questions
Full time students can complete the course in 6 months with on-campus classes 3-4 days a week from 9.00 to 3.30pm. Part time students will have on-campus classes 2-3 days a week from 9.00 to 3.30pm and can complete this course in 12 months.
The total fees for the 6-month course are: Subsidised $2,702, Concession $2,038, and Full Fee $5,648. Additional costs include excursion and industry visit costs of $225.00 and a name badge of $7.50. You may be eligible for government subsidised training.
There is no compulsory vocational placement. However, you will be required to volunteer for events to successfully complete some units of competency. You are also required to attend industry excursions which may be linked to assessments and unit completion.
This course is delivered through a blend of on-campus and online classes with most classes face to face. You will need to attend both online and on-campus classes to successfully complete this course. Full time students have on-campus classes 3-4 days a week and part time students have on-campus classes 2-3 days a week, both from 9.00 to 3.30pm.
Graduates may work for event or exhibition management companies, event venues, or organisations that organise their own events. Possible job titles include conference assistant, event or exhibition administrative assistant, event or exhibition assistant, event or exhibition operations assistant, functions assistant, in-house meetings assistant, junior event or exhibition coordinator, logistics assistant, meetings assistant and venue assistant.
