Yes. Non-apprenticeship pathways are available. To enrol as a non-apprentice, you must be at least 21 years of age (evidenced by photo identification), have at least 2 years of work experience in this occupation or trade (evidenced by employee records such as your resume and/or letters from employers), and be currently employed in the relevant industry (evidenced by a letter from your employer). This pathway uses recognition of prior learning (RPL) and gap training to gain the qualification.
Graduates go on to roles such as Hairdresser, Hairstylist, Hair colourist, Freelance session stylist, Creative/artistic director, and Technical or sales advisor. The qualification also prepares you to work in an established salon or open one of your own.

Honestly I was lost when I first started looking at Australian colleges. There are just too many options and every agent gives you different info. A friend told me about FindTheCourses and within a week I had shortlisted 3 programs that actually matched my budget and visa situation. My advisor Sanjay was super helpful โ never felt like I was being pushed into anything.
