Common Questions
Student contribution fees are calculated at $1.60 per nominal hour for each Unit of Competency. For the entire 1020-hour Apprenticeship program, fees total $1,632.00. Note that student contribution fees are waived for apprentices under 25 under the DESBT's free apprenticeships program, and exemptions also apply for apprentices over 25 who hold a Health Care Card/Pensioner Concession Card or are of Aboriginal/Torres Strait Islander descent with specified evidence.
Ardor College offers several payment options including upfront 100% payment, a payment plan (weekly, fortnightly, or monthly), direct debit, and credit card (with a 2.5% surcharge for Visa/MasterCard and 3% for Amex).
Graduates can pursue careers as a Hairdresser, in Salon Service, or as a Men's Hairdresser. After completing this qualification, you may also be eligible for further study including the SHB40216 Certificate IV in Hairdressing or the SHB50216 Diploma of Salon Management.
Ardor College accepts weekly enrolments, meaning you can start as soon as you are ready. You have the options of completing this course via an Apprenticeship or Fee For Service (Full Time Study). The Certificate III in Hairdressing (SHB30416) consists of 28 units — 21 core units and 7 elective units — and has a duration of 75 weeks. The full Apprenticeship program covers 1020 nominal hours.
