The placement process involves completing a Work Placement Agreement Form, having the workplace inspected by a YBI Work Place Assessor, developing a Work Placement Training Plan, completing a Work Placement Logbook signed by the Workplace Supervisor daily, and having a Work Place Assessor complete an Observation Report either by visiting or video conferencing at the workplace.
Yes, an online study option is available to both domestic and overseas students. Students who enrol will have access to York Business Institute's learning resources through the online platform 'E-learning' at elearning.york.edu.au. Studying the theory component online does not change the learning outcomes required by the course, and students can download study materials, assessments, and participate in weekly online activities and virtual classes.
During the work placement, students will undertake tasks such as preparing for service, providing service, completing operational tasks, completing end-of-shift duties, interacting with customers, working with speed and efficiency, dealing with numerous service and operational tasks simultaneously, identifying and resolving issues and problems, working as part of a team, monitoring service processes and workflow, taking responsibility for own work outcomes, and providing technical support and advice to other team members.

Honestly I was lost when I first started looking at Australian colleges. There are just too many options and every agent gives you different info. A friend told me about FindTheCourses and within a week I had shortlisted 3 programs that actually matched my budget and visa situation. My advisor Sanjay was super helpful — never felt like I was being pushed into anything.
