The course has a total duration of 52 weeks, which includes 36 weeks of classroom-based training and assessment, and 16 weeks of school break. Students study 15 hours face-to-face per week and are planned to complete all 15 units of competency within this timeframe.
Yes, students must complete a minimum of 80 hours of work placement within a regulated hospitality facility such as a restaurant, hotel or club, to gain real-life, on-the-job experience and the opportunity to practice what they learn.
The total fees for the course are $10,300, which includes a Tuition Fee of $9,000, a non-refundable Enrolment Fee of $300, and a Study Material Fee of $1,000 per year.
After completing the SIT30622 Certificate III in Hospitality, students may progress to the SIT40422 Certificate IV in Hospitality, the SIT50422 Diploma of Hospitality Management, or the SIT60322 Advanced Diploma of Hospitality Management.
Applicants must provide an IELTS certificate showing a score of 6 or above (or equivalent), and must also undertake and successfully complete Signature Training College's Language, Literacy, Numeracy and Digital (LLND) skills assessment as part of the entry criteria.
