Common Questions
Students are required to complete 120 hours of work placement as part of the Certificate III in Individual Support.
Students will need to obtain a National Police Check and HLTAID011 Provide First Aid before commencement of their work placement. The costs incurred in obtaining these are borne by the student and are not included in the course fees.
Work placement providers include Weary Dunlop Retirement Village (242 Jells Road, Wheelers Hill VIC 3150), Royal Freemasons Monash Garden (355 Wellington Road, Mulgrave VIC 3170), Raynes Park Court Aged Care (455 Bluff Road, Hampton VIC 3188), and Newmans on the Park (33 Newmans Road, Templestowe VIC 3106). Please note these work place providers may change from time to time.
This nationally-recognised qualification (CHC33015) has been superseded and will be replaced by the updated qualification, CHC30121 Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing & Disability). Any students enrolled in CHC33015 must complete the program by November 2023 or be transitioned to the new qualification (CHC33021). Any students commencing from July 2023 onwards will be enrolled in the new qualification.
The entry requirement for the Certificate III in Individual Support is that applicants have completed Year 12.
