For international students, the total fee is $11,000, which includes an enrolment fee of $450, a material fee of $550, and a tuition fee of $10,000. For domestic students, the total fee is $5,450, comprising an enrolment fee of $450, a material fee of $550, and a tuition fee of $4,450. RPL applicants are charged an application fee of $500 plus $200 per unit of competency.
Students will attend work placement for 2 x 2-week blocks during weeks 33–34 and 49–50, completing a total of 120 hours of work placement. Placement is designed to provide real work environment experience, feedback on practical work, understanding of workplace expectations, observation of experienced staff, and opportunities to form professional networks.
Assessment is conducted individually using a variety of methods including written questions, projects, case studies, role plays, research, and reports. Students receive a Student Assessment Booklet for each unit of competency, which includes a full description of all assessment tasks, instructions, resources, and details about when and how to submit assessments.
All students complete a language, literacy and numeracy assessment to determine their learning support needs. Where additional support needs are identified, an Individual Support Plan may be developed, which can include mentoring from trainers, additional classes and tutorials, online support, computer and technology support, referral to external support services, and reasonable adjustment to assessments. Support is available for students experiencing disability and access issues, language barriers, employment issues, and any other issues affecting their ability to achieve their training goals.
