The Certificate III in Individual Support (CHC33021) at Brighton College has a duration of 45 weeks.
International students must have an IELTS Academic score of 6.0 or equivalent (test results must be no more than 2 years old). Other English language tests such as PTE and TOEFL can also be accepted, provided results can be confirmed as equivalent to IELTS 6.0. Students may be exempt from providing English language evidence if they were educated for 5 years in an English-speaking country, completed at least 6 months of a Certificate IV level course in an Australian RTO, successfully completed an English Placement Test and Digital Literacy Test, completed a foundation course in Australia, or completed their High School in English Language.
To achieve this qualification, the candidate must have completed at least 120 hours of work as detailed in the Assessment Requirements of the units of competency.
The Certificate III in Individual Support is offered at Brighton College campuses in Brisbane (Level 2, 108 Margaret Street), Melbourne (Level 1, 255 William Street), Sydney (Level 8, 532-540 George Street), and Hobart (Level 2, 73-81 Murray St).
Students who complete this course may be able to seek potential employment in the community service industry. Such roles include direct support worker in aged care, disability support, and home and community care.
