Certificate III in Individual Support

The CHC33021 Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing) is AMA College's primary entry qualification for the aged care, disability and home care industries. The Australian Medical Association (WA) has been training care workers for more than 20 years, helping thousands of graduates find meaningful employment.

This 15-unit certificate gives a comprehensive introduction to working as a care worker in an Australian setting, combining access to AMA College's state-of-the-art simulation lab with 120 hours of work placement organised by the AMA. Students also receive recruitment support throughout their studies, drawing on AMA's extensive relationships with aged care providers across Western Australia.

The aged care sector offers strong, stable job opportunities and clear pathways to grow into areas such as nursing, allied health, management and leadership. The course can be completed as a stand-alone qualification over six months (two study periods), or packaged with the CHC43015 Certificate IV in Ageing Support as a 12-month combined program (four study periods).
