The course runs for 65 weeks full time, which includes scheduled breaks. International students are required to attend classes for 20 hours per week.
Yes, work placement of at least 120 hours is mandatory. To achieve this qualification, the candidate must have completed at least 120 hours of work as detailed in the Assessment Requirements of the units of competency. Practical training and assessment may be offered in a range of approved and accredited care facilities in Melbourne.
Applicants must be over 18 years of age, have completed Year 12 or equivalent, and meet the English language requirement of IELTS 6.0 or PTE 52 or equivalent.
The tuition fee for the Certificate III in Individual Support is $13,500. For non-tuition fees, students are referred to the Lawson College website at https://lawsoncollege.edu.au/non-tuition-fee.
Assessment methods may include written questions, case studies, role plays, projects, presentations, and workplace projects.
