Students are required to complete 120 hours of vocational placement to satisfy the vocational placement component of the qualification. Completing placement is compulsory for this course.
Students can only be placed when they have successfully completed a Federal Police Check and the Working with Children Check (Blue Card application). Depending on the work placement organisation, there may also be a request for students to undertake the influenza vaccination and additional vaccinations. Any additional fees are at the student's own cost.
The total fees for the CHC33015 Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing) are: Tuition Fee of $9,500, Materials Fee of $250, and Enrolment Fee of $300. Term payment plans are available.
A range of assessments are employed for this training program and the type of assessment is dependent on the nature of the unit of competency. Assessments include demonstrations, observations, projects, presentations, knowledge tests, reports and interviews.
The CHC33015 Certificate III in Individual Support comprises 13 units packaged as 7 core units plus 6 elective units. Students must successfully complete all 13 units to achieve the qualification.
