Students are required to complete at least 120 hours of supervised workplace practical placement to apply skills in real care settings.
For overseas students whose first language is not English, an overall IELTS score of 6.0 or equivalent is required, OR students may pass an Abbey College Australia entry test designed to assess the level of English proficiency.
After completing CHC33021 Certificate III in Individual Support, students may progress to CHC43015 Certificate IV in Ageing Support, CHC43121 Certificate IV in Disability, and/or CHC52021 Diploma of Community Services.
The course is delivered in a Blended mode (Face to Face + Online) over 52 weeks, with 15 hours of face-to-face learning and 5 hours of online learning per week, except during term breaks, totalling 20 hours per week.
