Common Questions
The total tuition fee is $9,500.00. There is also a non-refundable enrolment deposit of $200 (prior to commencement) and a materials fee of $600. Students can choose to pay via a payment plan consisting of 9 instalments — an initial instalment of $1,500 followed by 8 instalments of $1,000 — or make an optional upfront payment of 50% or more of the total tuition fees prior to the course commencement date.
The course runs for 46 weeks full time, which includes 32 scheduled tuition weeks, 4 weeks of work placement, and up to 10 weeks of holidays.
Students are required to complete a minimum of 128 hours of work placement at an appropriate ageing or disability support provider. The work component involves 32 hours per week over 4 weeks. If needed, students can contact student support for assistance in finding a placement provider.
Students must meet one of the following English proficiency requirements: IELTS 5.5, TOEFL internet-based test score of 51, Cambridge English Advanced score of 162, PTE Academic score of 39, or Occupational English Test score of 1090. Alternatively, students can provide evidence that they were educated for 5 years in an English-speaking country, completed Year 12 in English, or undertaken at least one year of tertiary studies in English.
Students who complete the CHC33021 Certificate III in Individual Support may wish to continue their education into CHC43121 – Certificate IV in Disability Support, CHC43015 – Certificate IV in Ageing Support, or CHC52021 – Diploma of Community Services.
