Requirements

Age: Learners must be a minimum age of 18 years or above at the time of course commencement.
Academic: Applicants should have successfully completed an Australian Year 10 (or an international secondary school year equivalent to Australian Year 10) with satisfactory results, OR successful completion of a recognised Foundation Studies program in Australia, OR successful completion of the International Baccalaureate Certificate, OR successful completion of an Australian qualification of AQF level 3.
English Language: Applicants must provide evidence of IELTS Academic or General band 6.0 overall (or equivalent) completed within 2 years from the application date. Equivalents include: CELPIP General overall band 7; LANGUAGECERT Academic overall 61; Michigan English Test overall 53; OET overall 1210; PTE Academic overall 47; TOEFL iBT total 67. Alternatively: IELTS 5.5 + 10 weeks ELICOS, or IELTS 5.0 + 20 weeks ELICOS.
English exemptions: Applicants are exempt from English requirements if they have a minimum of 5 years of study in English in Australia, Canada, New Zealand, Britain, America, South Africa or Ireland; are a citizen of and hold a passport from the UK, USA, Canada, New Zealand or Republic of Ireland; completed at least 70% of an AQF level 4 or higher qualification in English in Australia within the past 2 years; or successfully completed the Senior Secondary Certificate of Education in English in Australia within the past 2 years.
Pre-training review: All international learners will undertake a pre-training review to determine suitability for the course and identify training needs and support requirements.
LLND: All students must complete an LLND evaluation prior to enrolment.
Physical requirements: Applicants must have physical attributes suitable for working in the health industry.
Police check: A National Police check will be completed prior to attending practical placement.
Immunisation: Proof of immunisation against mandatory conditions is required including Influenza and COVID-19. Influenza vaccinations are required annually by 15 August (mandatory for placement). COVID-19 vaccinations are subject to facility entry requirements.
Work placement: At least 120 hours of work placement must be completed to achieve this qualification.
Hardware: Students must have access to a laptop or computer with Windows operating system and Microsoft Office applications.
DHA: Applicants must provide documentation according to Department of Home Affairs requirements.
