The course duration is 78 weeks, delivered at the River Road, Perth campus through a blended mode combining face-to-face classroom learning, simulated industry workplace activities, and supervised online study.
Students must demonstrate an English level of IELTS 6.0 overall with no band less than 5.5, or an equivalent qualification such as IBT 60, PTE 50, CAE 169, OET B, General English Advanced, Duolingo 95, MET, LANGUAGECERT Academic, CELPIP, or a General Certificate IV or higher qualification with an Australian institution.
Assessment methods include written questions or reports to demonstrate understanding of theoretical concepts, practical activities or projects simulating real-world tasks, case study analysis, direct observation during practical sessions, and where applicable, supervised work placement assessed according to workplace standards.
Students must successfully complete all 36 units — including 20 core units and 16 elective units — to receive the AUR30620 Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology. Learners who partially complete the qualification will receive a Statement of Attainment for the units they are deemed competent.
The tuition fee for the AUR30620 Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology is AUD $16,000, with an additional material/placement fee of AUD $2,000. Intake dates for 2026 are 26 January, 20 April, 13 July, and 5 October 2026.
