The course has a duration of 78 weeks, including breaks and holidays. It is delivered across 6 teaching terms, with 10 weeks of delivery each term.
The total course fee is AUD 22,200, structured at AUD 3,700 per term across 6 terms. Additional fees include a course application fee of AU$250.00, accommodation placement fee of AU$200.00, and airport pick-up fee of AU$200.00.
International students are required to attend a minimum of 20 hours per week of scheduled contact hours, comprising 16 hours of classroom-based face-to-face delivery per week and 4 hours of compulsory e-learning administered via the MyPCT portal per week. Delivery also includes practical workshop sessions at an automotive station and work/vocational placements.
To attain AUR30620 Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology, students must complete 36 units comprising 20 core and 16 elective units. There are no pre-requisites for this qualification, and students may apply for exemption for any unit in which they can successfully demonstrate competency through Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL).
The course is available at Pacific College of Technology's two campuses: the Auburn Campus at Level 1 & 2, 91–95 Rawson Street, Auburn (a 2-minute walk from Auburn Railway Station), and the Sydney City Campus at Level 1 & 2, 363 Pitt Street, Sydney, located in the CBD with excellent access to public transport including Town Hall, Gadigal Metro, Museum, and Central Stations.
