Students must complete 36 units of competency in total, consisting of 20 core units and 16 elective units, to be awarded the Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology (AUR30620).
The tuition fee for the course is $15,000, with a non-tuition fee of $750, bringing the total cost to $15,750.
After completing the Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology, graduates can pursue further study such as the Certificate IV in Automotive Mechanical Diagnosis (AUR40216), the Diploma of Automotive Technology (AUR50216), or other advanced and specialist programs.

The course is delivered face-to-face with instructor-led theory classes, hands-on practical training in simulated automotive workshops, individual and group activities, and demonstrations using real-world scenarios. Assessment methods include oral and written tests, practical demonstrations, group and individual projects, presentations, and case-based tasks. International students are required to attend a minimum of 20 hours per week, comprising 16 hours of classroom instruction and 4 hours of supervised workshop.
