The course runs for a total of 100 weeks full time, comprising 89 weeks of class delivery and 11 weeks of holiday breaks. Students attend 20 hours of face-to-face or online training and assessment per week, usually divided into two full days and one half-day of classes.
Della International College has a fully equipped Workshop in Sunshine, Victoria (Unit 4, 149 Anderson Road, Sunshine VIC 3020), where all practical training is undertaken. This simulated environment closely resembles the real workplace and provides access to a broad range of related experiences, tools and materials, allowing students to develop and demonstrate their skills in painting and decorating.
Prospective students must complete a Pre-Training Review and a Language, Literacy and Numeracy (LLN) test, achieving a score of at or above 80% to be admitted. A Learning Style Assessment is also conducted. Students must disclose any medical conditions, and a Doctor's certificate of capacity may be required. Della International College will not enrol a student where the qualification is at an inappropriate level for them.
Further training pathways from this qualification may lead to Certificate IV level qualifications including CPC40611 Certificate IV in Building and Construction (Specialist Trades), CPC40408 Certificate IV in Building and Construction (Sales), and CPC40708 Certificate IV in Building and Construction. The qualification is intended to prepare new employees or recognise and develop existing workers performing the role of a painter and decorator.
Assessment is competency-based and continues throughout the program. It may include theory, projects, and practical assessments. Formative assessment is provided throughout the course via a range of activities, while summative assessment concludes each unit of competency. Assessment is based on realistic workplace scenarios and simulations, and participants are advised of the assessment requirements at the beginning of each unit.

Honestly I was lost when I first started looking at Australian colleges. There are just too many options and every agent gives you different info. A friend told me about FindTheCourses and within a week I had shortlisted 3 programs that actually matched my budget and visa situation. My advisor Sanjay was super helpful — never felt like I was being pushed into anything.
