Common Questions
The course runs for 60 weeks and is delivered at the Melbourne and Sydney campuses of NeXgen Institute of Australia.
There are a total of 29 units to complete the course, which includes 26 core units and 3 elective units.
International students must demonstrate English language proficiency through one of the following: IELTS with a minimum overall band score of 6.0 (no more than 2 years old), evidence of at least 5 years of study in an English-speaking country, completion of a Certificate III or higher at an Australian RTO within the last 2 years, or equivalent scores in recognised tests such as PTE Academic, TOEFL iBT, or Cambridge English.
The 2026 Offshore Student Tuition Fee is AU$21,900.00, which excludes material and enrolment fees. For onshore (domestic) student fees, prospective students should contact the admissions team at enquiries@nexgen.edu.au or telephone 1300 561 247.
After completing CPC30620, graduates may pursue roles such as Qualified Painter and Decorator, Painting Trades Worker, Commercial Painter, Residential Painter, Decorative Finishes Specialist, Site Tradesperson, or Painting Supervisor. The qualification may also lead to an apprenticeship, traineeship, or further study at TAFE or RTOs across states and territories.
