Common Questions
Students are required to complete 360 hours of industry placement. PCBT supports students in finding work placements, which are conducted in terms 3–8. Work placements are organised by PCBT College, and host facilities are fully briefed by PCBT's qualified trainer on supervision and support requirements. Students must abide by PCBT's Code of Conduct and are expected to work with PCBT to organise their placements.
For a limited time, the tuition fee is AU$20,500 and the material fee is AU$4,900, bringing the total to AU$25,400. Fees are payable in 8 instalments over 2 years. Prices may vary if Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) or Credit Transfer is approved.
Assessment is competency-based and is generally conducted through questioning, project work, and practical demonstrations. All practical sessions are conducted in a fully equipped trade training centre. From term 3, students also participate in 200 hours of workplace experience, and PCBT assessors visit student worksites to observe skills in action.

Students who successfully complete the Certificate III in Solid Plastering may go on to complete further study in a range of Certificate IV qualifications, such as the Certificate IV in Building and Construction in various streams including Building, Site Management, Specialist Trades, or Trade Contracting.
